Beer Emergency Response Team (BERT) has been set up to plan and prepare for any emergency. In an emergency, BERT's role would be to:
- Mobilise resources to deal with problems caused by the event
- Provide a focus for local volunteers to help the vulnerable and to support the emergency services
- Act as an information hub, linking in other groups in the village
- Feedback to the Parish Council any learning points from dealing with emergencies.
