Beer Emergency Plan

The Council are currently working on updating the Emergency Response Plan which we hope to have in place soon.

Beer Emergency Response Team (BERT) was set up to plan and prepare for any emergency. In an emergency, BERT's role would be to:

  • Mobilise resources to deal with problems caused by the event
  • Provide a focus for local volunteers to help the vulnerable and to support the emergency services
  • Act as an information hub, linking in other groups in the village
  • Feedback to the Parish Council any learning points from dealing with emergencies.
